Live Online Guitar Lessons by Joe The Guitarman

I have been a full time guitar teacher in Dallas Texas for 30 years. I have DVDs, VHS, and CD audio versions of my lessons available. I love my job. It is important to pass on the information that has been so much fun for me for 50 years. Music is the best thing life has to offer. Popular music is much easier than people think. I enjoy seeing the success of my students.
Thanks to the Internet there are many cool resources for learning guitar. I like going to YouTube to see videos of my favorite guitar and bass players to see how they did it. The Internet is a big help but nothing beats a private one on one lesson. You can go at your own speed, ask questions, and most important; you can be corrected if you are playing incorrectly. That is the only problem with being self taught. You might be practicing something you will never use, or practicing wrong and actually going backward in ability. There may be a better way. A personal teacher is a very motivating factor that will speed your progress.
Now with the Internet there is the best of both worlds. You can have me come to you anywhere on planet earth for a private one on one lesson. Save time, gas, and money. All you need is a high speed Internet connection and a web cam. You will also need to be hooked up with an IM service. I use Skype. It is free. No long distance charges. We did this a few years ago but the technology was not quite right yet. The quality of the picture today depends on your connection speed.
No contracts. Lessons are based on merit. Take one and if you like it take another. You will get the most out of each session by asking questions. The student should be prepared. If you are just starting you may not have many questions. That is ok too.
Lessons will cover technique, theory, styles, rhythms, chord progressions, improvisation, how to learn songs, and even a little music history.
